Magazine Ad Cover:

The goal was to create a realistic magazine cover using a free image or your own photos. The assignment requires specific things including cutting out an object or person and working with the typography to give it a real magazine look. I used Photoshop to create the magazine used specific tools such as object selection tool and lasso/polygonal lasso.

Newspaper Assignment: State office celebrate Pitsco Idea Shop

My assignment was to capture photos of the state officials at the celebration event for Pitsco Idea shop and submit the photos to the campus Collegio newspaper. The general guidelines for the paper are clear photos, in focus, action shots, showing eyes, etc. I make those my top priority when shooting my photographs. The editing of the photos involves certain things like correcting the color space to CMYK for print and editing the size proportionally to fit in the paper.

Graphic Design: Logo Assignment

For this, I had to design a logo for a band in the online Graphic Design course. I drew different sketches and scanned them into Illustrator. I completed 10 finished designs on paper and choose my best 3 for digital. My logo was actually chosen by the band, it was their favorite. Which is the bottom one spiked red hair and their logo in the mouth.

Product Photography: Food in Motion (Food or Beverage)

For the Food in motion assignment I shoot a beverage related product with movement. I used a fast shutter speed and took several shots just to get the perfect photo for the project. I set up my own lights and scene to compliment the object.

Intro to Packaging: Cereal Box

The main objective of this project was to create a cereal box and try to design it like a real product. This required making specific things such as a barcode and nutrition facts. Once we were done with the design we printed out the final product on the plotter cutter.

Copy Cat Magazine Ad

in this assignment we had several magazine ads to choose from we had to pick one to redesign using inspiration from our chosen ad. The main objective was use specific photoshop tools to work on document placement and text replication.

In this assignment, we were suppose to take a photo and incorporate into our own magazine cover. Key part of this assignment was to work on certain details such as adding a background, adding font, adding a magazine title, etc.

The main objective of this assignment was to work resizing a photos to fit different frames for website ads. This allowed viewer to easily recognized the ad more quickly. Allowed me to learn how to rearrange photos in certain spaces.

The required footer provided exposure to Image size vs Canvas size and how the megabytes of a file changes depending on resolution.

The objective of the project was to take portrait photo showing the body or skin and create the illusion of tattoos on the body. The main goal was to cover 95% of skin with tattoos on the person’s body.

The goal of this assignment was to take the provided photo of Russel Brown’s and photoshop his face into our chosen character . In this aadssigment we had to pay close attention to match skin color and texture to the best of our efforts.

Vintage fashion has become the new trend due to the high amount of traction and sales. The trend has become a statement piece from celebrities to the public. Vintage is all about bold graphics with a washed look such as vintage t-shirts. Vintage can be anything from t-shirts to bags. Collectors also love vintage and see the profit they can make.

How Fashion Trends Affect the Society


Fashion trends impact society by being spreading through social media, getting likes, and sales. Everything from the runway to celebrities influences the fashion trends in social media. These trends spread through Instagram with posts, viewed by millions. All of these trends affect the market of which trend is making a comeback. Many of these trends have resurfaces from the 80s, such as neon. 

Fashion trends such as neon have received over 7 million likes on social media. Due to the celebrities wearing them such as the Kardashians. This trend became so popular they were making cheaper alternatives. Fashion nova took this trend and made several look-like products at a cheaper price due to the material. Neutral clothing is also a very popular trend right now. On Instagram, the new thing is to post a full neutral outfit or a monotone one. There has been a 22% increase of Neutrals in the market. Celebrities are wearing it and it’s spreading to Instagram posts and the media. Animal print has also increased in the market. Animal print is being used in different designs such as combining materials. For example, Nike is using it in shoes combining animal print with suede, leather, etc. 

All in all, these fashion trends have set new boundaries for the fashion world and beyond. Created new standards for Instagram and boosted the market. These fashion trends have spread like wildfire through the media and they are being worn everywhere. The impact of celebrities and fashion shows move the culture to think that they want to buy the item. Ultimately a fashion trend is a dynamic style that not only affects that group but the world.
